What is Botox®?
Botox® is the brand name of the botulinum toxin in its injectable form. This substance is produced by a bacteria species called Clostridium botulinum, which is responsible for botulism. This may sound concerning, but Botox® has been FDA-approved since 2002 and is an amazing solution for any cosmetic or medical issues you are concerned about.
How does Botox® Work?
Dr. Alisha Evangeline Prince will make small injections of Botox® in areas around your face, lips and mouth. This toxin goes to targeted muscle groups and blocks chemical neurotransmitters from being released and paralyzes these muscle groups.
The effects of Botox typically last around 3-4 months, so we encourage you to schedule a regular treatment plan. Our team is here to assist you in creating a treatment plan that suits your needs.
